For Tayto’s manufacturing facility in Meath, we delivered a high-performance solar PV installation designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. The system features 1,734 ASTRONERGY panels installed over a seven-week period, with a total capacity of 771.63 kWp. It is expected to generate approximately 667,391 kWh annually, avoiding around 156.17 tonnes of CO₂ each year — equivalent to planting over 4,000 trees — while strengthening onsite renewable generation and supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Tayto snacks could save around €100,109 per year on electricity costs by using this solar system instead of purchasing electricity from the grid.
This system generates around 667,391 kWh/yr of electricity annually.
By using this system Tayto Snacks can reduce emissions by approximately 156 tonnes (or 156,170 kg/yr) of CO2 per year.
The estimated yearly output of this system is equivalent to the energy needed to power around 159 homes in Ireland for a year.
This system has a carbon impact equivalent to planting around 4,036 mature trees per year.
