A 192.69 kWp commercial solar system has been installed across five buildings at St. Dympna’s Hospital, generating approx. 153,693 kWh annually. Completed in just two weeks, the project overcame the challenges of a live hospital environment with strict health & safety and planning protocols. This low-maintenance system secures long-term energy savings and demonstrates how solar can support healthcare facilities and inspire broader adoption across Ireland.

HSE St. Dympna’s Hospital could save around €23,054 per year on electricity costs by using this solar power system instead of purchasing electricity from the grid.
This system generates around 153,693 kWh/yr of electricity annually.
By using this system HSE St. Dympna’s Hospital can neutralise CO2 by approximately 39.6 tonnes of CO2 per year.
