To support their commitment to sustainability, Board24 reached out to Low Carbon Energy to design and install a bespoke Solar PV system for their Preston site. Completed in early 2023, the 795.8 kWp system is made up of 1,730 Longi 460w panels, producing 607,070kWh of green energy each year. That’s an annual carbon emission saving of 183.41 tons, equivalent to planting 1,098 trees. Dominic Drew, Group Managing Director of Board24, was quoted saying the following: “This was a superb project, that was expertly consulted, designed and installed by the Low Carbon Energy Team. We are pleased that it supports our sustainability goals and look forward to the significant energy savings that it shall bring”.
Board24 could save aroun 121 414 £ per year on electricity costs by using this solar system instead of purchasing electricity from the grid.
This system generates around 607,070 kWh/yr of electricity annually.
By using this system Board24 can reduce emissions by approximately 183 Tonnes of CO2 per year.
This system has a carbon impact equivalent to planting around 1,098 mature trees per year.
