About the Project

QK Cold Stores in Kildare required an energy-efficient solution to offset the high electricity consumption associated with their cold storage operations. We designed and delivered a cutting-edge 2.3MWp solar PV system to meet their needs, reducing reliance on grid electricity and supporting their sustainability goals.
The project was strategically planned as a two-stage installation to align with their operational requirements. In Q1 2024, we successfully installed a 767kWp system, ensuring an immediate reduction in energy costs while maintaining uninterrupted facility operations. The second phase, a 1,565kWp system, was completed in Q4 2024, further enhancing their energy independence.

Project Management

“With this system in place, QK Cold Stores is set to significantly lower their carbon footprint and achieve long-term energy savings, all while supporting their commitment to sustainable business practices.”
