Almost four containers of product were brought to the roof using a crane, pallet by pallet, loaded on rafts to ensure weight dispersion on site. Timed to perfection with our installation schedule, the solar panel installation phase was completed in under two weeks. Being a flat roof, a ballast system was the only option. Due to the limitations on weight allowed on the roof, ESDEC FlatFix was the system of choice due to its unique design requiring significantly less weight.

The SSE Arena could save around €48,000 per year on electricity costs by using this solar power system instead of purchasing electricity from the grid.
This system generates around 342,991 kWh/yr of electricity annually.
By using this system The SSE Arena can reduce emissions by approximately 87 tonnes (or 87,394 kg/yr) of CO2 per year.
The estimated yearly output of this system is equivalent to the energy needed to power around 76 homes in Ireland for a year.
This system has a carbon impact equivalent to planting around 3,915 mature trees per year.
