Haven Power is a specialist business electricity supplier which offers 100% renewable electricity to 17,000 businesses all over the UK. With over 15 years of experience to its name, Haven Power also has access to Britain’s biggest renewable power station, where biomass renewable electricity is generated by its parent company Drax.
Drax Group is the UK’s largest provider of green electricity and renewable energies, and so felt it was only right to incorporate this green ethos into both of its downstream companies: Opus Energy & Haven Power. Consequently, both companies selected and approached our experts at Low Carbon Energy to deliver a green, efficient solar panel solution at both of their head offices.
After an initial site visit and a detailed assessment of Haven Power’s unique energy profile, we designed and installed a bespoke 78kWp solar PV installation, complete with 273 x 285w Hanwha Qcells Modules.
This allows Haven Power to benefit from 76,500 kWh per annum of clean on-site generated electricity, helping it to make significant savings on its bills, along with a levelled cost of electricity of £0.03/kWh. It also brings the company a significant step closer to achieving its sustainable business goals, by allowing it to save 23,409kg of CO₂ emissions per annum.
Since then, Haven Power has chosen Low Carbon Energy to be its delivery partner for both solar power and electric vehicle charging, another of our core energy technology services.
